Marianne & Sophie
A couple of months ago I did a photo shot with a friend from work (Sophie) that I have done photos with before. She had a good time the last time that we did photos so we decided to try again. The problem with that night was that we did not have a lot of time to do the photos so it felt kind of rushed. We did some photos outside before it got too dark and too cold, then moved indoors. For this shoot we decided to do photos that were a little 'racier' than last time because we both felt like trying something different; no nudes, just less clothing than usual. It was fun but somewhat rushed. I had plans for a movie after but this was the only time that we were both free so we took advantage of that free time. I took many photos with my Canon 60D (too many) as well as a few with my Pentax (it was too dark to use it a lot). I used part of a role that I started with Caroline, and finished it off today (should get them back tomorrow). I haven't looked at all of the photos yet from that photo shoot and would have to talk to her before posting any to make sure she is OK with the one(s) that I would select.
Yesterday I did a photo shoot with a friend (Marianne) who I had not seen in a while. She texted me last week saying that she wanted to do photos. She had a pair of shoes that she wanted to show off (Christian Louboutin), I wanted to show of her eyes. We got lucky and had a really nice day (cold but sunny). We started at Parc de Bercy and walked down along the Seine and ended up on a bridge before we called it a day and went home because it was too cold. She was a great model to work with, full of smiles and looked like she had a really good time. Did a lot of photos with the 60D, finished off the B&W from Caroline shoot, and started a new role of Kodak 400vc.

Been a while
Ok, I know it's been a while but I haven't really taken that many photos recently. I did get my new 'baby' and have used it a bit at work but haven't really used it much since then. A couple of weeks ago I used it at the "Occupy Wallstreet" protest in Paris. I think I got some good photos, but I haven't really looked at them. It did get a little crazy when we got chased by the police and pushed aside.
Today I did have a proper photo shoot with a model that I met on ModelMayhem.com. A friend of mine (Amanda) helped me by doing the make up. We did some shots in the metro and in the cemetery. I used my 60D and my pentax ME super. With the pentax I finished off my role of 160vc and started an Ilford 100. Still debating weather or not to develop the color film now or wait until i finish off the B&W.

My new baby
I finally grew up and got myself a new digital camera. I wanted to get one that would last me a while and something that wasn't just a nice camera but actually a really good camera. Kendal offered me her old camera if I wanted to pay to get it fixed, but after I played with her replacement camera...I couldn't take it. I ended up getting her replacement camera: a Canon 60D! It's so pretty, I love it!
Yesterday I went out and took some photos with it and had so much fun. It's nice to have a nice camera who's photos can be seen right away. I still love film and will keep taking cameras with my Pentax but it's nice to have two options for cameras.

Working on my portfolio
Since I just got back a large number of photos I decided to finalize my model portfolio. I decided that it might be a good idea to get a portfolio together to take over the the design school and try to get some work by talking to their stylists and models. I put together 20 photos of different models that I thought would go over well with a crowd from the design school. I tried to get a nice mix of photos together: high fashion, candid, nudes, different lighting...
It was difficult to narrow it down to 20 photos but I think I did a good job of picking the best ones. I printed them out on A4 paper (because I was told that they would fit the portfolio books nicely). I ended up getting a much larger book and will have to tape the photos in. All in all they all look really nice printed out in a large format.
